The Talaton Inn

The Talaton Inn, located in the heart of the ancient village of Talaton in East Devon, is a well-established public house with a history dating back to the 16th century. It's the only pub in the village and is known for its traditional village atmosphere and popular food offerings. The Inn has been a part of the community for centuries, and has served as a hub for local events and gatherings. Talaton was mentioned in the Doomsday book 1086.

The Talaton Inn has been a cherished gathering place for locals, steeped in history and tradition, since its mention in the Domesday Book. Angie and John took over in early July 2025 and will continue to offer the local community a warm, friendly local village pub with great beverages, awesome food and entertainment the whole year round.

Angie, while born in the UK, was raised in South Africa and has always enjoyed working in hospitality and is a natural behind the bar and in the restaurant. Angie is always on hand to assist with any of your needs to ensure your visit is as enjoyable as possible.

Please don’t put your fingers in the cage, unless you are familiar with him and please do not feed him, as there are certain foods that are toxic to parrots.
